Sea of Grass

More of a close up than a macro but I really liked the gently waving grass heads with the dragonfly for a point of interest. Please don't hesitate to let me know where and how I can improve this shot. Thanks for looking

Nancy, because of the light, pattern, color, and detail, this is very beautiful. The dragonfly is icing on the cake. I like this a lot. I have only one suggestion - the image is a little small, and there is no larger image. I'd love to see the dragonfly larger. Excellent at even this size, however. :toast:

Looks terrific to me! Sure would like to enjoy a larger image. Looks like very fine detail, but hard to tell.
The lines, textures, and colours are excellent.

Really beautiful shot, Nancy. The composition is great, I love the way you used the grasses...and the single focal point of the dragonfly is just superb. I've never seen anything like this.

Simply wonderful. I agree with Sandy, at little tighter crop might take this to another level. :toast:

The golds and greens of the grass heads are terrific. I too could envision a tighter crop to accentuate the damselfly.

A very stunning image, Nancy Lea! Love these grasses you have in your area! The grasses give this photo a real painterly look and the dragonfly adds a nice touch of contrasting color. Great lighting, colors, and wonderful textures. I, too, would like to see this in a tighter crop; I think I would crop down from the top at least. Just curious, what are these grasses called?

Wow, the colors, lines, and apparent sense of motion in the grass is simply wonderful! The bluet damselfly is a very nice anchor for the scene. My only nit is that I'd like to see it larger.

I love this in all ways! I can see this hanging on a wall somewhere for sure. The colors and the movement speak right through the image that I can see myself standing somewhere looking at this scene. I think a very slight vignette would help focus the attention more on the fly, but that is my personal preference. Wonderful image!

Congrats on the WP! Somehow I missed this shot. Love all the grasses and the damselfly as a focal point.

The grasses alone would make for an interesting shot. Nice wispy layers here.
