West Desert Kit Fox scratching an itch. This den had 3 kits which passed a lot of time on the surface in the sun (late in the day).

Mark1DM4, ISO 400, 840mm, F5.6, 1/200, 1.4x, sharpening and slight crop of OOF vegetation in FG.

Love the eyes in the larger version Robbie. Nice detail. It seems a bit drab, but I realize that is the desert. I would try to punch up the contrast and color a bit, but that is personal taste.

Great pose you caught this one in. I agree it needs the color and contrast worked on. I would like to see more detail in the foxes coat. Great look at its eyes. Thanks for sharing.

Clever to post a thumbnail, that forces people to view the larger version. This is very cute, this fox reminds me of our Cape Foxes which are very similar in appearance. My only suggestion is to selectively darken the BG a little, which will make the fox stand out even better and then the wish for more contrast and more vibrant colors may not need to be expressed no more.

Very cute...as Vincent said it looks like a Cape Fox. I agree that darkening the BG will help here, I also think there's some detail that can still be extracted from the darks on the face (such as the nose).

Nice pose and setting Robbie. My nit is pretty much the same as others, but I feel the entire image looks a bit bright or over-exposed. I would maybe lower the exposure a touch (just -.25 or so..nothing drastic) and then add some contrast. I think it is worth working on..at least it would be if mine. I rarely get to run across Kit Foxes and love these animals.
