Thanks to this forum's help on this image, it win photo of the day on Earth Shots for 7/20/12. Thanks so much! Link To EarthShots

This was my second try on the shot. I started from scratch, using an alternate exposure for the sky.

I would appreciate any constructive thoughts on this version. Thanks!

Beautiful colors and details here. I don't remember the last post, but if I could add a suggestion to this it would be to add just a bit more sky if possible. The foliage at the top almost seems squished in to me.

I definitely like this version! The sky looks much more natural, the 'grad line' (or whatever it was) is fixed up in the top plants, both making an even greater image than the first, IMO. Very cool...

This is much better than your previous version. I especially like how you re-'developed' the forest lands to the right of the waterfalls and the foliage on the left.

Much improved, Navin, though the contrast in the sky feels a bit flat relative to that in the foreground. Getting this balance right would make things feel more congruent.

Really nice rich deep colors and I love the waterfalls in the background. Looks like the creation of a video game or movie - not real life. Wonderfully executed

I love the detail in the foreground... it leads you into the rest of the scene nicely.

Beautiful. The falls in the BG give this a Garden of Eden look, and they're positioned perfectly. No nits from me.

Thanks for the comments thus far! Much appreciated.

Tony, thanks again for your thoughts. I do agree that the sky could have a bit more punch... I tried to strike a balance there with this re-re-post (), by using your own "Lights" luminosity mask judiciously mostly over the bright clouds. I painted it out of the BG and the darker part of the clouds. I let a little penetrate the foreground greens as I think it enhances the effect of sunlight streaming onto them.

Any additional thoughts and preferences of this or the original repost would be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

I must have missed the first post but I really like this. Ditto what a couple others said on the sky but that's minor compared to the overall image. Nice job!

Big improvement! The latest repost looks great. If you want to fix the white blow outs you can clone some color in there at low flow rate / opacity. Works wonders when done right.

I love this image! Flickin awesome! Such a creative composition. The only thing I might consider doing is slightly brightening the area around the waterfall in the background just to add a bit more attention to it. everything else is spot on. Congratulations!
