Kill Zone
by Steve Balke
I've been looking at this image of a tricolored heron since my trip to Cuba last February. It just seemed to me that the shape of the bird and its reflection deserved some sort of photo art treatment. After several tries, I'm reasonably happy with this one. I used a texture to de-emphasize the bg and a transparent reddish oval to indicate where I think defines a regiion where any alert fish should avoid.
It's been awhile since I posted in this gallery. Inspiration for photo art only occurs for me very occasionally.
