Probably theee most entertaining bird I've ever enjoyed shooting, this Reddish Egret sent me home with some really great images of the funkiest poses. This one I thought was pretty funny. Ft Desoto Fl
Canon 1D MIII 300 mm 2.8 L IS lens
ISO 800 f5.6@1/2500
Tripod. I clipped the birds left wing by a hair so had to add some canvas.
Cropped from left and top about 20

Made me laugh when I opened this. Looks like he couldn't take his eyes off you, but his body kept going. Wonderful!

Nice action and timing, Cheryl. Love the antics of these Reddish Egrets. Maybe we can connect there at Ft D next February.

Love it! Looks like that neck couldn't possibly be still connected to the bird.
Even without that neck, it's a great pose - nice water, too.

You gotta love these guys - such clowns. Photography is all about capturing moments in time and you've captured a great one here. Nice and sharp, well exposed, no nits from me..
