Young white tail buck

Fortune to live near some of the most threated habitat on earth. Natural saline wetlands (SE NE home of the remaining tiger beetles). Even though I live in a metroplolitan area of 1/4 million people, within four blocks of my house are some protected saline wetlands with quite a number of white tails.

Good look at this young buck. I like the detail of his growing antlers and the rich, saturated greens in the background. My wish would have been for that for that single oof stem to not be crossing his ear.

Really great shot - too bad about the out of focus stem across his ear. I'd be tempted to try to clone that out. that would be tough to do & have it look realistic in the ear.

Hey John,

Nice portrait of what looks to be a youngish buck here. The attentive head turn works well for me. I am wondering if this one is just a bit under-exposed? If this were mine I'd probably experiment with a little selective brightening of the buck only (leaving the background on the dark side).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...
