Painted Bunting again, this time with early light around 7:30am
This image illustrates how the light can make a big difference.
So here's the shot of the same bird the day before, but almost two hours later for comparison.

Howard: Very nice. The colors here are just fantastic. Love the look back pose. No nits from me on this one.

Well done Howard, nice pose on an attractive perch - love the over the shoulder look here. I wonder if you could bring up the exposure on the bunting just a little, seems just a tad dark to me. Sweet image, thanks for sharing.

You have a beauty here Howard. An awesome bird in great light posing just right. The square composition is very pleasing to look at.

Sweet Photo

Beautiful image, Howard. Also, it's very interesting to compare the two images. Both images are lovely but the light certainly does make a difference. I prefer this one. Of course, the very appealing head turn helps here too.

Beautiful, Howard. The light is perfect for this subject and I like the foliage on the left.

Appropriately named, Howard, as the sun seems to be creeping in from the right here. Love the colors and head turn.......well done.

Great color & detail, Howard. For me, the pose of the bird in this one makes all the difference.(possibly moreso than the light). The head turn adds "personality" & gives a connection to the subject. A lovely image.
