Girl at Etretat

Etretat, Normandie

This beach, famous for its arches at either end is an absolute circus on warm weekends when hordes of Parisians descend on the town of Etretat. I had a lot of problems photographing the place but I liked this shot of a girl exploring the shore. It looks like she is posing but she isn't.

I love your processing here. The dark appeal works well. Great black & white shot.

It is nice to include the girl here. Her silhouette looks very nature and interesting --- you've captured a good moment.

That is one excellent pano. The conversion works well and it tells such a great story. I like your inclusion of the sun, and then the wonderful and recognizable rocks and arch of Etretat.

Excellent. The woman really creates an intimacy in this landscape of so many beautiful gradations of light and shadow.

An excellent b/w image Kah Kit. I especially enjoy the emotional feel you captured. Including the girl and the sun really makes this wonderful....

Lots of tension in this image because of the placement of the elements. I like it, although I wish there was a tiny bit more space on the right for the sun.
