Dollar Lake

Sorry I have not been very active of late. Work has been driving me crazy. I have been lurking a little on NPN. Anyhow, this was taken on a cold June morning when the fog was thick on a warm lake. The sun was behind me, but the bottom part was in the shade. I did a slight rotation and did have to clone a couple of large lily buds that looked like inverted beer bottles floating on the lake. This is a color photo, but there was just not that much color in the scene.

C&C appreciated.

Excellent. Just love the way the horizonless comp puts the focus on the reeds and lily pads. A unique and beautiful image for sure.

What a fantastic abstract Tom! The lack of a horizon and high key approach are unique and beautiful! Well done.

Very nice photo Tom. I love the soft blue tones and the way it fades to the white bg. The strands of reeds and their reflections are very elegant and nicely placed in your comp.

Very elegant and appealing. I like the soft blue shades against the stark reeds.

Exquisitely beautiful, and very elegant. The simplicity of the shapes and the ever so slight hint of color is just remarkable. I love it.

A very unique and lovely image, Tom. I dig the semi high key presentation and ultra simple composition.
