Sunbeam Creek + REPOST
by Catherine Reilly
Another recent shot from Mt. Rainier National Park, where the sun cast a ray across the face of the snow and the top of the falls late in the afternoon. Most of the falls and facets of the snow are in shadow…
D200, 24-70 @ 66 (99mm equivalent due to dx sensor), cpl, camera resting on rock, mirror-up. Mostly cloudy with "sunbreaks" (as per PNW weather parlance).
f 22, 0.3 sec, +1.0 EV, ISO 100.

Especially to Tony K: what a great idea! Doing something like that didn't even occur to me and made a significant difference, I think. I like it better now and wonder what others think, as I repost it having applied Tony's suggested change. I also nuanced the form of the falls a little more, since other commenters seemed to like that part of the image.
Appreciate your thoughts once again.
