The young male Grizzly was following this older female around ,she seemed quite happy to tussle with him.It was still a little early in the season for anything more serious to develope. The Bears main focus is realy eating as much of the protein rich Sedge Grass as possible and replace the lost weight from their Winters hibernation. In this case they seem to have enough energy now to play. The young male was approx 5 years old and to young to make serious overtures to the female, who was not quite ready to breed either. However they did appear to be having fun and it was a wonderful few minutes we all shared with the bears as they frolocked on the beach.
I have cropped the image a little ,however I realy liked the habitat surrounding the Bears and feel that a crop would not make such a good image .Critique and comments would be most welcome . Thank you for looking .

Hi Suzanne. Beautiful setting for these bears. The fallen cedar (I assume) has some regen on it and that's very interesting in itself. Very cool bear action too and just enough of the one bear's face and teeth to make it work. As this is a crop, I might consider a little bit less foreground, say to where the brown oof area ends, and adding a bit more of the distant hillside to the upper part. This would bring the bears into the rule of thirds position. The shadows are a bit dark, maybe some ps adjustment could be made to eek out a bit more detail in those areas.

That setting with that beautiful log covered in bright green vegetation and the distant forest backdrop is lovely indeed Suzanne. I think you made the right choice not to crop the image tighter! I do feel that a sliver less at the bottom and a bit more on top would have benefited the image as a whole. Further I do wish for a better view of the bear action, meaning a better angle not a closer view  .

Great action, great moment and memorable capture. The weight of the root end of the tree is a little too bad, but this is a fine keeper.
