Canyon Stillness

I have seen images in this gallery from this canyon, and it's my favorite little nook in Zion so I thought I would share. I try to make the hike to this canyon about everytime I'm there.

Thanks for looking and C&C if you want.

Well done Jeff. This is just one of those scenes and images that I think really needs to be seen bigger. Not just a larger view here, but I mean a large print.

The only suggestion I have is that I think you have some room to pop the color in the water/reflection. Also, maybe it's me, but this leans a little magenta to my eye.

Excellent capture from Zion.

Looks like a sick spot especially with the pools. Nice capture.

Jeff, This looks great to me. I really enjoy the composition here and those pools and reflection look fantastic! Wonderful details. Very well done! :toast:

Awesome, Jeff. I don't see the magenta Lon mentions. It all looks "right" to me. The water here takes it to a whole new level.

Love the abstract design created by the canyon and the reflection. Beautifully done.

What a great scene and a unique view from Zion (for me anyway). I really like the tilted tree as it really adds to the depth here. I do think there is some room for some fine contrast/sat, but looks completely natural to my eye as is.

Great scene. I like all the horizontal layers here.

great reflection shot. Such a contrast from the main body of the Virgin River.

This is very nice with lots of great elements....the reflection, the layers of rock building up to the golden wall behind the tree. An excellent composition

Very nice without the reflection. Over the top with it. This shows how I envision Zion but not how my poor photos show it.

A favorite nook for me as well. So many options here, but I like this wider view. Very natural interpretation of the colors, though a little more sat. wouldn't be too much IMO.

Jeff, this is very nice with the angles of the layered walls and their angles reflecting in the pools. Cool location. Perhaps you might try a bit more contrast for the back wall and trees?

Oh! what a tremendous scene! The pool of water with the reflection really makes this unique, adds depth and some abstraction.

I think you have some great suggestions for nudging the image even further over the top. Well worth tweaking a bit more!
