Common Snipe

I have been after a shot of a Common Snipe sat on a post for quite a while, to be honest I have had this shot in my minds eye for over 7 years and yesterday morning I finally managed to capture it.

Canon 7D, 500f4LIS+1.4Tc, 1/1000th @ f8 -1/3rd iso400 ( 90% of FF )

I bet it feels good to finally get the shot you've wanted. Really nice pose and detail. The natural looking fence is also a plus.

This is a fantastic image - super background, tack-sharp subject with a good head turn, wonderful light and a very interesting perch. Thanks for sharing this.
