Loons are a favorite of mine, I can almost hear it's lonesome cry looking at this. Love the misty mood and hints of color on the water. For me, the bg foliage could be a bit darker but it's a great image as is.

I love all the mist! I am wondering if cropping a little off the left and the bottom would make it a little less centered?

Nice! I agree that the moodiness of the fog may carry a little better if the bg foliage was just a little darker-- but that may not be what you were going for. Nice job in catching the scene.

Nice scene with the mists and out of focus greenery. I would have preferred a composition with the bird less centered.

Sandy,

A lovely moment and quiet mood. I can understand the comments of perhaps being less centered, but personally wouldn't want to crop from the left and lose the pretty blues in the water. also, I wouldn't want to cut off any more of the Loon's wake.

If anything, how about cropping more from the top to enhance the movement of the bird and it's wake? Just a thought.

I do wish the Loon was a little bit sharper though, my only nit really.

Thanks, Lon - exactly why I chose to crop as is.
