At the bottom of Shelburne Falls in MA are these beautiful glacier rock formations. This is one small pattern which called to me. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens, handheld.

Comments welcomed.

Incredible patterns. I like the warm browns and finely textured grays. An interesting and appealing abstract.

Beautiful! If you told me this was an aerial photograph I'd believe you. So much going on here, and all well balanced and well processed.

Quite fascinating. I thought it was an aerial image.

Nice earthy colours and I like all the lines and curves. It makes a lovely abstract Patricia.

The larger version looks a little soft though.

Cheers, Gary.

Great find Patricia. I really like the mystery of scale here. This could be a satellite image, an aerial view or macro. Great study too for a geology buff. The earth tones are wonderful. Even with all the erratic curves, there is still a nice flow to the composition.
