Our area is once again loaded with these great little birds. I love trying to catch them out in the open, and fortunately, they are most curious...always interested in what's new in their environment. Getting them to keep still is another story!

Terrific image. I never had any luck with this species in NJ, and here in AZ there are a lot fewer and that hasn't helped any.

Just excellent! Not the tiniest nit from me - great pose, bright eye despite the black mask, nice BG and fine perch.

Very nice image Sharon. Lovely perch and nice clear view of this bird which in our area, at least, always stays hidden.

Wonderful shot, and velvet smooth background. Fine work finding this guy in the open. A very minor nit: can you tease some detail out in the black mask?

Great image, Sharon! Top perch and background to go with the colors of the subject. Very complementary light and headturn. :toast:

Out here, we always here them but getting them out in the open is another story.

Very nice image, Sharon. Great pose on a nice perch against a smooth BG. Really worth viewing large.
