A very beautiful play of light and shadow, Bill, and the way the two central anthers glisten is especially nice. The overall effect suggests a peaceful spot in a garden you'd love to wander in.

The filtered light is really nice and having a full bloom and a nearly full bud together works very well. Interestingly, the 720 pix version seems dark, but the larger version glows wonderfully.

Interesting light here Bill, like that title. Nicely done!
I've been getting up very early and trying shots at first light.
The day lily I've posted seems a bit dark in thumbnail, but when viewed large it seems to glow..
Have a great weekend! :wavey:

Bill - Nice lighting there  and I like the lighted background as well. Nice portrait and setting for the Daylily. I am waiting for ours to bloom.

I like the filtered light and the soft pink against the contrasting green BG. Very nice, Bill. You might consider cloning the small flower nub on the stem in the LLC.

Very nice looking flower and I like the un-bloomed version next to it. The lighting is a little flat - but that may be partially due to the dark greens soaking it up.

Love the lighting on this lily! Bud accompaniment adds, but that's one of my favorite things to do, too. Your usual fine comp out of what could be difficult. You make it look easy.

You can really appreciate the lighting and textures in the larger version. Very pretty image.
