Summer Weeds

by Barbara Graham

Gallery: Photo ArtPosted June 18, 2012426 views11 comments
I really liked the lines of these weeds and wanted to try to do something with them. This involved a lot of stuff with highlights and shadows and curves and Topaz Simplify and brightness and CS5 Find Edges and curves again to get the white background.

This will look pretty silly against all the gorgeous scenes in the photo art images on this screen and might be something that I can't wait until it rolls over onto the next screen, but I'd love to know if anyone else finds this at all appealing.

Thank you for looking!

This is nice Barbara, simple but works well for me. Have you tried removing the colour completely? I would also put a little black border round it.

Gary.

Very cool Barbara, I like the simplicity of it and I like Gary's idea of a thin black border around it.

Simple and beautiful! I too would like to see this in a black and white with a small border.
Well seen and photographed as well as post processed!

Its nice to know that others post things that they wish would disappear. As for this image you did a great job just seeing that the lines and textures would make a good subject and your post processing works well too. It would also make a dramatic impact as a black & white. Keep 'em coming!

Well Barbara, I guess they found it pretty appealing!! Beautiful composition and nice photo art processing. I too think it would be nicer with a black border. Congratulations on the WP.
