Geissfluh, Baselland/Switzerland. Early morning sun made the limestone rocks glow.

Sweet light. The sky adds nicely to the over all composition of the image.

Thanks Richard. The northwestern part of switzerland is not very popular among photographers and it's hard to compose an image without the influence of man. But I'd rather try new comps and new landscape than ony taking pictures in the picturesque swiss alps.

Bill, This is a very interesting scene which I like very much. I do like the glow the light put on the face of the cliffs and the green grass above the second cliff looks great here. I'm with Richard and think this sky adds nicely to the overall scene. A cool looking place that makes me want to sit in the middle of that green patch of grass and just look around and relax!

Beautiful light and colors. I especially like the 'crown' of trees that go right to the edges of the two rock faces.

Bill,

Wow, this is quite nice. I think I might be more intrigued with the secondary green grass covered secondary tier than the main cliff - that really adds a nice element as does the sky.

Are you sure that's limestone and not some ancient Inca city of gold? The light is indeed sweet and beautiful here, but to me the gold almost seems too much? I don't know 'cause I wasn't there, but still even the brighter yellow/gold areas almost seem clipped. This a great scene and so I'd make sure you've got that glow the way you want it before printing. If it were mine, I'd back off on the glow. But I do really like this landscape image.

Thanks a lot for your feedbacks. Lon I see what you mean about the golden glow. Think you're right it's a tad too much and I'll back off the glow a bit.

Beautiful lighting on the cliffs! The greenness on the lower cliff is a really nice addition to the color palette as is the sky.

Bill, this is a very appealing capture of the glow to me. I especially like the repetition of the rock formation that makes for an interesting compositional element for me.
