I noticed something on a grass stem and had to look twice to see it was a spider! I am not sure what the common name is, I came across the name 'long-jawed spider' as well. It indeed has very impressive jaws.

Great complimentary BG, details, and comp, these very long spiders are a pain to compose effectively.
Like this presentation that includes one of their common names too.
It also shows their characteristic "ballooned" palps nicely, great job on this!

Fine capture of this unique spider. The elongated, vertical pose stretched against the stem is excellent, as is the capture itself. Very good detail against the nice clean BG. Well done, Ellen.

Beautiful quality of light on this picture- The detail is excellent as well, and the background is smooth and perfectly blended with the subject- My congrats, Fabio

Nicely seen and captured! I think you did a great job with the comp and it shows off the characteristics of the spider very well!
