Two Tulips

Sought out this image because of the double image or almost mirror look-alike between the two tulips. I took a few different shots working to get just the right angle to reduce the distance between the two, from left to right.

I wanted a very soft look so I used f/3.5 to gain that effect. Front tulip more in focus, back tulip significantly out of focus, and blur the natural background.

Post processing included Nik software plug-in Color Efex Pro 4 and Viveza to give it a little bit of artistic effect. Finally, I added the "Giverny" textured background from "Flypaper Textures" to finish it off.

Thank you for taking the time to view this image and welcome your comment.

Rick, this is beautiful. When I first looked at it I thought you had used a mirror. Your POV, your colors, everything about your processing is really beautiful.

I agree with Barbara, beautiful results. Normally not a big fan of textured backgrounds or filters.
But with the proper application I make exceptions
Very nice work of art:toast:

Thank you Barbara and Howard for your comments.

Regarding the textured background... I'm like you Howard, using just a little opacity or brushing away some of the texture is more acceptable. There are very few images I like where the textured effect has been significantly used and looks good. I have the same feeling about using the HDR effect.
