Vineyard Impressions #62

This image is from my Vineyard Impressions series taken in my home Sonoma Valley wine country area. I use a variety of techniques to turn the original photo into a impressionistic painting look. Shot October 2011. Nikon D7000,55-200/4.0mm lens, 1/50 @ f20, ISO 200

I think your impressionistic technique here is very effective. I believe this treatment captures the memories of many scenes better than a "straight" photograph. For my taste, the weight of your processing strikes the perfect balance between detail and the brush stroke look.

P.S. Are you related to a retired wildlife biologist who shares your name?

I love the way you applied subtle brush strokes to this image. So often, it's overdone to the point that too much detail is lost. However, the colors for me are a bit oversaturated, but as this is definitely art, that's a matter of personal taste.
