Hi stan :wavey: Great to see you posting on Flora :jump: I'm always fascinated by the wind blowing through the fields of grass or grain. but i find it hard to capture what i see. I like how you seperated the infocus foreground wheat from the BG...... the color and detail are very good..... I would like to see another shot with a more gradual blend of the FG to BG focus..

Stan - Love the wind swept feel to the photo and the golden hues. Without being at the scene, its a bit difficult to visualize, but if possible a slightly lower angle to fill the frame with more in-focus elements than OOF elements is something I'd have pursued. Not sure this was possible.

Or "Amber Waves of Grain" would work nicely as well?
BTW, I had my wheaties this morning..Don't need the lecture
Well done :wavey:

Simple but interesting photo, Stan. I like the focus on the foreground stalks and how they are leaning in the wind. It's interesting to me how the OOF background stalks seem to be more upright. Really does give the feel of the wind rippling across the field.

Stan: Oh I like this one a lot. Great DOF choice and I like the implied movement and the light. Breakfast of champions! >=))>

Stan:
Love the movement and the warm color in this image. The very abrupt transition from sharp fg to blur bg is unusual - is this pp enhancement?

No Gary, just shallow DOF and low angle. I have others with it reversed--fg OOF/ bg IF--maybe ill post that next...

Love it , Stan! A prosaic image made dynamic by the wind implied by the leaning stalks and seed heads. A perfect DOF! I like this as is.

Take a little off of the top to bring more attention to that great foreground! Not much, but a little. Incredible detail, light, and your processing pulled everything out of this. :toast:

Yes summer is behind the door and you have captured the summer mood in excellent way Stan. The shallow depth of field separates in very nice way the wheat in good focus from the blured background. A well presented crop allows eyes to remain fixed on the field in FG. :toast:

The fading focus is beautiful Stan. The hot color make me breathe the full summer. Splendid photo for me.
Cheers.
