Not Easy Being Green

I made my first trip of the season this morning to Jean Lafitte NP in search of tree frogs. While I expected to see mostly small ones, which I did, I was surprised to find this fully grown guy hanging out in the saw grass. May have been born last year, but it wasn't beat up and scarred like I might expect. I cloned a few bits of debris off the skin. Larger image included.

This is beautiful Bill! Love the green on green and the fact he wasn't all scruffed up is such a bonus. Wonderful details in the skin and eye, and really like the diagonal it is on. :toast:

A wonderful macro indeed- Awesome tones of green, great detail and a strong 3d feel on this one- By the way, thanks for your nice comment to my last posted shot, but I'm afraid I don't deserve it- My congrats, Fabio

Now that's camoflauge! Very nice detail on the frog, and he gave you a nice pose, too. Nicely done, Bill!

Thanks for the comments and the WP, gang. There were only one or two of a number I shot of this guy. Most were at slower SS and the motion blur was unacceptable. Thanks again !
