Nikon 500ml.

iso 320.

One from a trip i had to the bottom end of Australia, dont know that the Kingfisher name really applies no fish but plenty of insects,i think the fact we have only the one Kingfisher over here which mainly feeds on fish and to find so many in other parts of the world where fish is not a part of there diet, i have watched Kookaburra in Australia with fairly large reptiles and a lady over there told me that they had one that would pinch the sausages from the barbecue.
Thanks for looking and your tips and comments on my last post.

Keith.

Nice color and detail in this photo. I like the positioning of the kingfisher with its head turned sideways to the camera. Well done IMHO. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent> I would do a little noise reduction on the BG.

Nice! Great little head turn, as if he's showing you what he caught.

Great image and narrative Keith. I like the pose, perch and bg. The prey item really makes the image for me because it is not a fish.

Excellent photo of the bird...details and colors are wonderful. Your larger version shows a bit of noise that would be worth resolving in pic this nice. Sharon

Excellent image Keith. Nice of the kingfisher to turn and show off his bill and his catch.

Gorgeous color & detail. My taste would be to slightly tone down the bright bit of perch on the right.
