Great Sand Dunes NP

I was waiting around at the Sand Dunes for the evening sun to light them up like usual. I was about to give up when the light came through behind the dunes, lighting up the little bit of rain that was in the air.

Wow this is beautiful. I love the pastels in this and the way the light is coming through the landscape. The detail in the dunes is excellent especially in the large version. I wish the mountains were just a tad sharper, but that's pretty minor. Could even see a pano of just the dunes with that nice pink glow above.

Beautiful color shades in this photo, Ken! I especially like the pink middle and the blue and pink dunes below. The dunes also have nice texture and flowing lines The mountains and the stormy sky add more interesting layers to this image. Nice capture!

Great mountain layers in this picture, each layer with slightly different color in four (or five?) tone gradation. Nice composition, excellent viewpoint. Nicely done Ken.

I love telephoto landscapes and this is a good one. You have interesting light and a spectacular setting here with unique atmospheric conditions. Who could ask for more?

The layering in this is terrific and it's accentuated so nicely by the subtle color casts. What a treat to get that magenta/pink glow in the midground.

Really nice perspective of the dunes, the layering of the image is wonderful with so many different things happening. Very nicely done Ken.
