Eclipse Patterns

The recent annular eclipse was 100% over my area of Northern California. This is an image of what it looked like as it was nearing its peak, as portrayed by the side wall of my shed. The thousands of circles and crescents were created when the eclipsing sun shone through the branches and leaves in front of the shed. If you look closely you can see the awed faces of the ancients as they observed their first eclipse.

WOW, I see the faces, and I also see a bad hair day. This is actually a wonderful abstract, and superbly captured.
