Woodland Star flower

This was taken in the mountain woodlands of NE Penna over the Memorial Day weekend. These flowers are blooming all over the forest floor right now. I liked the nice moss background of this flower.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/22 for 2 seconds. ISO 200. Tripod mounted, on-camera flash.

Great composition and patterns. I might be temped to eliminate some of the brown in the upper right corner.

Very good use of flash to fill, what a great find..Looks almost staged although I know it's not..
The star-like moss have framed this "star flower" as only nature could :smile:

Attractive composition. I love the background flora. I wonder how it would look bringing the upper, lower, and left leaf close to the border like the right leaf creating a tighter composition.

Excellent capture, Carolyn. I like the concentric star shapes, the spring greens, and the off-center comp. I wish we had these attractive woodland flowers around here. :toast:
