Mother's Leap

The doe that mistakenly left her young fawn behind (my previous post). The two were alongside the roadway, when she suddenly did a very acrobatic leap over the guardrail, over an embankment, and down into the field below.

Doe and fawn were eventually reunited. D90, ISO-500, 1/400th, f-5.6, 300mm. Larger posted, thanks for your C&C.

Great timing, Bill! I do wish I could see the rest of the legs, but hey, I know how difficult this is! Glad to hear the fawn and doe were together at the end. :wavey:

The mid flight stoppage came out really nice, capturing their amazing graceful athleticism. I am sure you are wishing you had managed to frame the entire deer!

Thank you Jenaya and Lon! Yes, much, much to my dismay I didn't turn quick enough to capture the entire doe. :frown: I was happy with the image-stop at 1/400th, but OH if only!!! ;) I thought about trying to PS the rest of the legs on with added canvas. lol. right.
