Columbia Gorge side-stream. Still lots of water this year. Canon 5DMk2, 24mm TS, panorama of 2 horizontal images with shift, Polarizer, iso 200, f16 1/4sec
Better larger (aren't they all?!)

There is much to like about this photo. The movement of water is much more to my taste than the "flowing smoke" effect. The different greens in the foliage, moss, etc., combine for believability. The flat light is well compensated for by the polarizer. You had the good sense not to push this and have created a very tranquil scene.

Daniel. This is very nice! Like Phil, I like the looks of the water very much. Wonderful details and perfect looking color to me as well. The large version looks great!, and really is a must look imo...it also puts me right there in this spot. Nice work.

Nice composition and colors. The blur in the water is just right. Fine image.

Wonderful shapes and textures. I like the busyness and the way everything works well together. Scroll-cropping the light area at the top is positive IMO.

Nice! This is one of those images that makes me catch my breath when I first open it. Beautiful greens. You've captured the power of the flowing water perfectly. Intimate, moody, I love it. Very nicely done

Superb shot. In terms of balance...this is a winner. Looking at the large version really opens up the water detail...and it rocks!

Very nice Daniel. We had so little water here in the Santa Cruz mountains this past winter that I miss this kind of local green scenery. Its refreshing to see.

A beautiful shot Daniel. I like the water textures and the flow of it around the rocks. The boulders are nicely positioned and the light is great. I agree cropping the white sky would be good as it tends to pull my eye up there a bit.

Love the greens here, Daniel. Perfect water motions, as stated. That 1/4 second usually works so well for that! The large version is rich in detail, and shows what a great huge print this will make. :toast:

A very majestic scene Daniel. It seems this gorge has no shortage of magical streams and falls.

Daniel, your strong centered composition works very well for me, and I appreciate your choice of shutter speed. I like the way steadyness of the rocks counteracts the dynamics of the cascades. The inclusion of the surroundings adds a lot to me.

I just think of cropping the bright areas at the top, but that might be purely a matter of opinion. I enjoy your image as it is.

Daniel, your small version here looks soft, but the LARGER VERSION looks great! Killer shot by all means. My only curiosity is if you would have any interest in shifting yellow a hair toward green (maybe in raw) to give the appearance of the image being a little more toward the peak of spring? Just an idea. Again, love the shot!
