Bat (species) ?

Workshop: Bill Forbes Pond, Amado, AZ

D800, 300/2.8, ISO 640, f18, 8 sec, Multi Flash, PhotoTrap triggered.

Spent a few great evenings with the group doing bats under Bills guidance. What a great and addictive experience.
Besides all the wonderful birds that come into the pond during the day, it was such a treat to try something different. I highly recommend visit to the pond for both the birds and bats.

This is an absolutely incredible capture Alan. Excellent work! It would have been even cooler with the entire reflection included, but that is asking for too much probably  Just curious about your set-up, did you use an infrared beam trigger?

The PhotoTrap is a infrared trigger.

One of the coolest shots I've seen in a while! It especially sticks out to me because I just went through my first cave in Tennessee, where hundreds of bats were flying around deep down there... Great capture!

Alan, this is fantastic! I met a guy from Tucson when I was out at the Santa Clara Ranch, who I believe knows this guy. He was talking about how awesome it was. So glad to see some excellent examples of this place. Congrats on the WP and thanks for sharing info about this workshop.
