This was the finale of the light show over the salt river earlier this week. Still going through the images trying to process them. The colors here were just unreal.

Very intense. Been busy this past week and am just finding time to go through images. I hope there are more like this further down.

Great light. I wish the foreground is more interesting, but you can't have everything every time.

Peter, First awesome light show and great glow on the mountains, really special light. The foreground doesn't add to the photo, I would crop most of the foreground out leave about 1/2 inch (on the web size). If you do keep all the foreground at least clone out that plant on the bottom-thats distracting. Where the sky and mountains meet it looks a bit "cut out" maybe it was just the sharpening/compression.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately There was nothing of foreground interest except for that little rapid. By the time I realized this light was coming to be I had moved away from my original spot and went to the bank of the river. Next thing I know the sky turns bright pink. As for the foreground water, I wanted to have as much in there as the frame could allow to show the cliffs alongside the river. Not the most ideal spot to add the river, but I did want it there. As you said Todd the image is suffering from web compression, but the contrast between the sky and cliff was pretty dramatic.

Love the light and the color show in this one. I like the picture as is but also agree with some others that the foreground doesn't add that much to the photo.

Wow, that's some amazing red  What an awesome glow! Must have been great to experience those conditions. I wouldn't mind seeing a little more light in the river, those rocks look like an interesting feature to bring out.

Sweet light here Peter. That sky is incredible. My only nit is the green plant/stick at the bottom of the frame (left of center). I'd consider cloning it out, since my eye seems to keep coming back to it.

Great colors. But it looks a tad bit dark to me. It could be lightened just a little bit. Great image either way.

Beautiful color! I agree with others about cropping out some of the less interesting foreground, and maybe increase exposure just a smidge. Nice work.
