Trillium Woods #2

This is the same area where my earlier Trillium Woods photo was taken. What a wonderful spring scene with trillium as far as the eye can see. Two images stacked for depth of field.

Taken with a Nikon D700, 17-35 mm @f16, 1/20 sec. ISO 400.

C&C appreciated.

That really is pretty! It just yells out... "Spring!" Looking at the large version is especially enjoyable! Nice work Tom.

That's beautiful Tom! Love the speckled light on the Trilliums. Is that tree split around the one standing up? Neat use for a line at any rate! :toast:

Wow Tom! I've never seen so many trillium flowers in the same area. Great colors and composition. The split log is a nice touch as well.

I absolutely love all the Triliums, and the light and woodland scenery works very nicely too. Contrary to most of the other comments though.. I find the log distracting - it doesn't add to the peaceful spring story that the rest of the image tells. Then again, I've never found fallen logs in forests to be photogenic.

Beautiful expanse of trillium. The downed log works well to lead the eye back into the image. The dappled light is really nice.

It's an amazing natural display. Isn't it neat the way lots of small things can make such a tremendous effort.
