The beacon

Hi all,

this is an old shoot. It is made on the Tirrenian cost, close to Leghorn (Italy). It is less than one hour driving from the place I work, and I refuge there when I am tired or something goes wrong.

This shoot reminds me someone looking us from the sky.

As you can see, it is a long exposure, made with the help of a ND filter, which gave a strong "blue dominant". I tried to recover the "reds". On some monitors it looks too saturated. Maybe I pushed it a little bit beyond the limit.. I don't know :)

Nevertheless, I'll appreciate ALL your comments.

Thanks for stepping by.

Marco

Saturation looks fine to me...strong color, but not unreasonable or unappealing. Quite the opposite actually. This is a beautiful vista and the slope of the rocky cliff helps lead my eye down to the shore and off into the distance. Very nice work.

Very nice image Marco. I like the composition with the diagonal line created by the rocks. The 50/50 diagonal comp works very well here. There is definitely a lot of magenta in the image, but I like it.

Love the glow of color on the rocks, as well as the nice textural quality of the rock. Color looks great to me. Looks like a wonderful place to have some quiet time.

I like the comp with the two triangles of elements composing the frame. I too like saturated colors. This is on the edge of real, but works form me.
