What a beautiful scene!! This sure makes a person want to be there. I really enjoy the conditions you caught and the wonderful feel. Great colors and reflection too. I also think your composition works well to show this off. Very nice work, Helmut!
Large version looks great with wonderful detail.

Classic tranquillity!

I love seeing a locale like this, with 20 photographers lined up on the shore edge, I feel obligated to launch stones as far as I can throw, you know, adding some playful drama to the scene and experience ...

Incredible scenery! And great light. Looks like the shadows were recovered too much/hdr look. Might also be tempted to crop it a bit off the bottom to make a pano. And w/ the lack of clouds a b/w. That being said this is a great capture with some awesome light and moody low clouds. Sweet!

What a wonderful combination of conditions. Strong, directional light making the mountains sparkle against a clear blue sky, but with low clouds creating atmosphere. Are the trees on the left side lit up just by strong reflections, or did you add some localized brightness there? (Just wondering, because I seldom see conditions like this with bright sunlight reflecting off the snowy peaks.)

This is outstanding Helmut. The reflection is perfect and the misty clouds really add the scene. Well done.

Helmut:
Wonderful scenery and perfect reflection. I like the small pebbles in the water in the foreground as well.

I sure like the view; though I'd personally prefer to not look down or up at any angle when taking reflections with a non-TS lens, because distortion is going to be an issue. If you don't like the 50/50 aspect ratio you can always crop later, but tilting the lens creates tilted reflections. Not a big problem, but something I thought I'd mention because you're close by and I bet you'll photograph around here again. Looks like an awesome area!

Great comp and reflection. I wouldn't mind a crop off the bottom or maybe something to focus on in the fg. Good as is. :toast:

The Almsee is on my list for quite a long time now and your shot moved it up that list quite a bit. The composition is very good and the fog creates a great mood. I like how the warm light illuminates the center trees while the ones on the right are still silhouetted. Two little observations - the center of the sky is darkened by the polarizer, which could be corrected and the dark trees on the left have a too strong saturations which they don't need that close to the border. Otherwise great capture of a wonderful place, Helmut.
