Mountain Bluebird

From the Interior of B.C. last Sunday - I had to get away from the rain for a couple of days! Come to think of it, we are able to do it driving 3 hours or so from the coast. The perch is Mulefat (I'm told) and is natural. This bird decided to land on it and I wish I'd got to the place much earlier in the morning.

Canon 5D MkIII, 500mm + 1.4X, 1/4000 @ f8, ISO800, from car window.

Your usual excellent avian work KC, elegant perch. I have a hard time getting close enough to these guys, they take off just as I get set up!!!

Well done. Good pose, perch and detail. I don't think the harsh light has hurt you, but this would certainly have been different in earlier light.
