Spring Glow

Spring glow in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area from the balcony of the Vista House. Initially, I was by myself in soaking up this scene but soon was surrounded by multitudes of tourists. A fair amount of work in LR4 and CS5 to bring out the glow and contrast while still retaining detail. In CS5 I made extensive use of luminosity masks which helped to balance the brightness, contrast and detail definition. We all enjoyed the light show!

What a magical moment, so well rendered. The light is beautiful. The only minor nit (if any at all) is the small, hard white cloud at the left upper edge that draws my eye away from from the soft light and the glow.

Roger, thanks for your helpful comments. I agree that the bright fog in the upper left edge is distracting. I removed them and have posted the update image here.

You have captured some fine and glorious light interacting with the mist Phil. I like the repost best.
