Summer of 2011
by Rick Turner
This is what was left of cornfields in North Texas near Ennis. I traveled throughout New Mexico, Colorado and West Texas last mid August and the devastation of 100 degree temps and drought were heartbreaking.
Sony a 700, Zeiss 16-80 f3.5 zoom @ 16mm.
ISO 200, f11, and 1/800 second.
Tripod and ballhead.

2 commentsI'd suggest cropping up from the bottom to remove the dry grass, leaving only the dead cornstalks.
Needs a bit of horizon straightening too - PS will do this.
Congrats on the WP!
