This is the male and one of 5 owlets this pair is currently raising. I was tempted to title this image "Kids!" The "look" on the adult's face and the owlet stretching the worm to the breaking point just reminds me of my dad and what he would say to me when I pushed the rules to the breaking point.

Oh, and for those of you who are surprised this is not a flight shot, never fear. Burrowing owls in flight are coming soon.

neat interaction, Ron and I like the adult's pose. I do wish we could see a bit more of the juv's eye, but the stretched worm adds a lot to make up for that.

Dad does look kind of sulky, like he's on his last nerve or something. Loved your commentary and how it shows humans' ability to relate to, and engage with, wildlife. Very pleasing image. Oh, that poor worm; I hope it's already dead...
