From my 2005 trip to Greece, the last time I shot with film. At the end of the trip we stayed on the island of Santorini for a few days. The town of Oia is one of those rare popular tourist destinations that somehow actually lives up to the hype. It's a magical place. Sunny days and white-washed buildings perched on the edge of the island caldera make for some great photo ops. There are plenty of stray animals running around as well, which sometimes manage to enhance the scenery.

No specs, as it was shot on slide film and I never wrote down my settings.

Neat image, Max! I like the cats pose...nice when animals cooperate sometimes

. I also really like the colours; the bright orange cat against the bright blue water creates some really cool visual effects!

I really like the way you framed it. Usually having a lot of negative space like this doesn't work, but here it certainly does.

Thanks guys. Kent, I'm glad you pointed that out. The composition is a bit extreme, but for whatever reason the vast span of blue seemed to work for me on this one. This is one of my more popular travel images among the public too, so I guess it's okay.

This is an outstanding image.

The thumbnail looks like a snow covered roof with chimney against a blue sky.
