Traigh Seilebost, Harris, Scotland

A very windy morning with a threatening sky on Seilebost Beach. The haze is caused by the blowing sand. Taken during a Transient Light Workshop.

Canon 5DM2
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L at 24mm
ISO100 1/10sec f/11
SR polarizer + 2-Stop ND Gradient

Thanks for having a look.

Sometimes a photo transports me to another space and time, like I am really there. I get this feeling with this image. Love the mood captured here.

Many thanks Morris, Nancy and Mark! Much appreciate your comments. Only thing missing was the sound of bagpipes (I am probably one of the few who love that sound) ! However the siren and song of the wind here did remind me of a lot of Inverness Beach in Nova Scotia, a place I love too. I so much love moody places like this.

I like it Eva--not sure the fg matches the drama in the sky, but the textures are nice there, and the little bit of motion helps. Works for me overall. :wavey:

simple and effective, eva. that one grass flower in FG disturbs my eye a bit.

This is very nice, Eva. I like the softness in both the textures and colors. You've created a nice balance of light here.
