Another from my 5D3 test morning at Anza Borrego with Charlie. These Hummers frequent the Park HQ and can be seen feeding from the wild flowers there. After much success and my wholehearted support for multi-flash setups in Ecuador, I reverted back to no flash whatever and handholding for this outing.

5D MkIII, 300mm f2.8 + 2.0X, 1/1600 @ f7.1, ISO800, handheld slung on Rapid Strap, morning backlight, slightly overcast skies.

Kudos getting this frame. The wing position is nice, and it appears to be sharp based on the smaller version. Not wild about the stick that appears to be in a very uncomfortable position for the little hummer

Very nice, Kwan. I like the wing position and the slight blur is perfect.

I really like the natural look of this image KC. Great flight position for the bird.

Hey Kwan,
That's great that you and Charlie were able to get out and shoot some hummers at AB. I like the overall natural look of this but like Keith stated, I'd maybe try and clone out the stick that is appearing to enter his abdomen. Great that you got this without flash and hand held. Nice job.

Very natural feel to this one KC, the muted background really allows that colorful gorget to pop. I personally wouldn't mess around with trying to remove the stick in question, it isn't that obtrusive.

... the stick in question

The bird is just taking off from that "stick", so I shall not be removing it. I hadn't noticed it as something that might be cloned. But, thanks anyway.
