Aurora's Blush

Just a blush of pre-dawn light over Torres del Paine in Chile. Taken while leading my Epic Patagonia workshop with Richard Bernabe. Can't wait to go back again next year!

You can learn more about the story behind the image in my most recent blog post Square Pegs and Round Holes.

Wonderfull moody image. Maybe a touch more detail pulled from the large midgound would improve it for me.

thanks Harry, but the midground is all burned from the fires they had there a few months ago - not very appealing when it shows more detail so I kept it dark!

Great rugged landscape Ian, it looks an amazing place. I like the movement in the river and sky.

What a wonderful mood this has. The silky looking water works so nice here and I especially like the light in the sky and on the mountain tops. Excellent comp pulls this all together so nice.

Hi Bill, it is not the aurora. The title reference is to "Aurora" as in the roman goddess of dawn. Wish it were the southern lights, that would've been cool!
