End of The Season

Finally made it to Laurel Run Park in Church Hill Tennessee. This little city park is a fantastic place for spring wildflowers but today was pretty much the end of the season. There were plenty of Larkspurs but they were starting to fade. A few Trillium, Foam Flowers, and Poppys. I tried to capture as much as possible in this wide angle (17mm) shot.

It is so hard to find a scene like this...congrats! You came, you saw, you captured! A little hint of vignetting along the bottom sets the focus towards the upper center... A treat to see the variety of lush foliage and blooms.

Full of nice leading lines to the spots of color. The fern is magnificent, as well as drawing one to focus on the color.

Lovely image, Richard. The perspective really draws the eye in, and the inclusion of the blue and yellow flowers amid the leafage works beautifully. Nice variation in light too.

A lovely scene, nicely controlled and loving the long fern leaves leading right up to the yellow flowers. :wavey:

Really like the eye flow following the bright green fern leaves to the flowers. Very nicely seen and composed.
