These handsome birds inhabit semi arid and arid woodlands of southern Australia. they are largely terrestrial only flying when flushed. The male will sing from a territorial perch.

Beautiful colors and light, Rob, and the larger version especially shows the sharpness and detail.

Handsome indeed Rob. The coloration of the bird and the creamy background renders a painterly feel to this image that works very well. :toast:

Lovely composition, Rob. I like the slight slope to the rock-it really works with the pose of the bird.

Rob,
Terrific looking bird. Nice job capturing the details and the exposure on the whites look great. Love the rock perch and the blurred background.

Wow, handsome is a great description of this species Rob. Love the overall comp. The rock perch has great character, the BG is stellar and the bird well exposed and sharp. Very nice light too. Super shot.
