Female Snail Kite 1/1000 f/6.3 ISO 320 400mm canon 7D. From trip with Ron Bielefeld, Thanks Ron it was a great experience!. I was a little focal length challenged, so this is about a 50% crop. Thanks in advance for all you comments.

Very well done Bill. We had a great morning that morning. I like the bird's position, the nice light, the water drops, and of course the snail. BG adds too.

Nice pose, and fine detail. Great look at those talons and the apple snail, and love the water drops.
Since the kites have such a wonderful red eye, I'd suggest playing with some levels and sats to try to bring out the eye a bit more.

Love the pose and soft light as well as the water drops. Wish for a slight head turn toward us but I would take this shot any day.

Great angle on this one, Bill. The near wing is just a bit soft-you might want to try a bit higher iso. The 7D should handle 640 reasonably well. Fantastic pose.

Sweet light Bill. The water drops from the snail add a lot to this image. Larger version show good sharp detail. NICE!
