Cute shot! I love the look of the Merganser and the fact that you can see the feet under the water and all the water drops. Looks like good exposure.

I agree with Barbara's comments and add that I love the behavior you have captured. Great detail and that shutter speed really worked well.

Not a very "pretty" pose but a great catch for you!
Perfect exposure and SS to capture the flying water drops.
