We have a small Japanese Maple right in the middle of our calla patch. I liked this interplay of the Maple leaves with the calla leaves and the bloom. Even at f22 there was not enough DOF to get everything sharp so I left the calla spadix OOF in order to get the leaves as sharp as possible. All comments welcome. >=))>

PS: A belated Happy Easter to all and my apologies for being somewhat AWOL the past couple of weeks. Work and ministry over Holy Week have been pretty overwhelming. It's great to be back.

Very intersting detail photo. Very nice combination of the white Calla Lily with the red-purple Japanese Maple leaf..The complementary green leaves put the . over the i. Nicely done Bill.

The red of the Japanese Maple against the green leaves is great. I find the oof calla spadix distracting and wonder about setting the maple leaves against just the white expanse of the calla bloom.

I really like the colors and composition Bill. Too bad about the distance issues because this would be superb if it all was tack sharp.

Nice to see you posting again, Bill. I think the softness suits the calla centre perfectly - it seems protected by the canopy of leaves above. Very fine colour combinations and lovely whites.
