Happy Easter! He is risen! This is a white variety of bleeding heart that I have growing in my woodland garden.

Happy Easter Philip. The bleeding heart is a variety I haven't seen before so thanks for posting it. Even though the front portion of the middle bloom is in focus, I find that I am wishing that more was in focus. Know they are low growing and small flowers that get blown in the wind so understand the challenge especially with a macro lens. :wavey:

Lovely blooms. I'd like to see all of the cluster in focus, but that's a personal preference. Beautiful as is. Happy Easter to you and yours

I wonder if the background was not so extremely dark if people would be so struck by the shallow depth of field here. I think it is a lovely photo of the flower, but having the dark background forces your attention to the areas that are not in focus!

Thanks all for the comments. Here's another version with a bit more DOF (8 sec. @ f16).

Happy Easter to you too, Philip! I love the second post better than the first, more DOF works just a bit better here. :toast:

Hi Philip :wavey: Sorry i missed this one  The second version is much better, The detail is much better, did you find these blooms in the woods, or are they the domesticated variety ? they are very delicate and beautiful flowers
