It seems that about 25 percent of Red-footed Boobies were gathering nesting material the honest way, while the rest of them would wait back at the nesting colony and just mug them before they could return to the nest. These are some of the hundreds of nesting Boobies near the lighthouse on Kauai.

Great action Charlie. Your image not only shows the behavior but you handled the exposure under which looks like tough lighting. Sure looks like your trip has been very successful.

Great action, Charlie. Sounds like they have too many politicians.

Just a great image. Comp., color, action, and focus are all handled very well.

I have to the refuge at the light house on Kauai. Got several lifers while there.

Wonderful action shot and I like the light/dark shadow contrast of the feathers. Interesting to see the aqua color of the beaks in the larger image, well done.

Great behavioral interaction Charlie. Good detail, excellent job on the exposure. Where are the Boobie cops when you need them?
